We had a beautiful weekend introducing our friends to Werrington Homestead and picking our first crop of olives in late May this year. After collecting buckets upon buckets of olives, we had a rather long lunch underneath the vines with tables laden with delicious home cooked country dishes and a few bottles of matching wines! And may I say, the oil these olives have produced is so beautiful … never have I tasted olive oil so fresh and so green in colour. Delicious served with sourdough and freshly picked herbs.
